Dotty Has Been Asleep But Now She Awakens…

… but not with a kiss from a prince, more like a need for a Cumberland sausage sandwich. I’ve been asleep for two days, almost solidly, after I had a first appointment with a HEADSHRINKER on Tuesday afternoon but the big stressy build up for the few days beforehand (and the two long, long hours of the appointment itself) left me brain-fucked so I wasn’t able to do anything but sleep on Wednesday or yesterday. I’m awake now, still in a bit of a stressy-mental because I have to wait for a week to find out a load of shite so if I go missing again I’m not REALLY missing, I’m just here in my house with my head up my arse, waiting to KNOW THINGS.

I’ll try to catch up on posts (there’s a LOT of notification emails to go through). I’m sorry if I miss some of your posts, I might just go to the most recent ones.

  2. You haven’t missed a lot from me; my muse has swanned off to party with Dalek Caan on Skaro without me. Bitch.

I too am seeing a headshrinker soon. I’m not sure that I really want to dredge up 30 years of shite that I’ve tried to put behind me, but it will apparently explain why I am having food issues. Right now my only food issue is a strong craving for and addiction to Pringles, but I suppose I should go to the headshrinker anyway, as they were nice enough to acknowledge my very existence from the lofty heights of Planet Not Crazy At All. Perhaps I’d be sane if I drank more absinthe, but where’s the fun in that (beyond getting that fluffy feeling from the absinthe)?

    • Dear Missus Tribble,

I’d like a head transplant. The NHS don’t do them in my area but I might get one if I lived in the leafy, posh South. ;-)

I wonder if, in three hundred years time, they’ll have invented something that harmlessly resets the brain so that everything’s balanced? I hope so.

      • Well, there’s something called Gene Therapy now apparently… but if I had that done I would no longer be autistic and would therefore no longer be the quirky, smiley, eccentric goofball that everybody knows and loves (or doesn’t. I don’t care because I like me and my husband loves me, so there) :D

      • Dear Missus Tribble,

I want it! I’m going to look it up. :-)

  4. Therapy , intially you might think tim consuming or boring even but depending on your rapport with them , give it a few weeks put in the work and eventually you’ll hopefully reap the benefits.
Talking about yourself is never easy even though we do it all the time..if you get my drift.
    Welcome back!

    • Dear trh,

It was a psychiatrist. I’m waiting to see what magic pills she decides on when she’s spoken to her consultant – I had hoped to get a prescription (and some answers) there and then but I have to wait.

      • In these circumstances they should always give answers immediately..

      • Dear trh,

I know. I was gutted when I didn’t find out anything i didn’t already know. I don’t think she knew herself, hence having to consult with her consultant. That’s the NHS for you.

  10. Maybe you should borrow the little sign that Granny Weatherwax uses when she goes out “borrowing”. “I Aten’t Dead”.

  11. Every time you mention Cumberland sausages (which is surprisingly often) I crave them. It’s not healthy Dotty, I’ll get fatty fat fat xxx

    • Dear tig,

No you won’t – Cumberland sausages don’t make you fat, not one bit, they’re full of health and nutrition and they taste FUCKING LOVELY. :-)

  14. Maybe you woke up because you got a meaty kiss from the sausage prince. Now that I typed that sentence, it is so full of blistering subconscious innuendo and Freudian naughtiness, that you might have to take time out of your next session with the doctor to ask about my mental state.
