DOTTY’S PET BLOGS

I’ve made this page for YOU (yes, YOU) because I’m nice and kind like that and because it saves me having to bother with links to all your blogs that none of you can be bothered scrolling down to and clicking on anyway. Is it too much exercise for your index finger, that extra bit of scrolling, to find some other GOOD BLOGS TO READ?  I don’t have ANY SHITEY BLOGS ON MY LIST, all the blogs I follow are blogs that I like for one reason or another and you’d like them too IF YOU COULD BE ARSED TO VISIT THEM.

Also, I can’t keep up with doing links to all the blogs I like and I don’t want anyone to think I’m leaving them out because I’m not – well, I am, but not on purpose.

So to resolve it all I’ve nicked JUDITH’S IDEA for a page that you can add your own blog to. And because it’s a page that sits at the TOP OF THE BLOG finding each other’s blogs won’t involve any extra scrolling effort from YOUR BONE IDLE INDEX FINGER.

ONE RULE — IF YOU’RE JUST PASSING THROUGH AND THINK, ‘OH HERE’S SOMEWHERE I CAN ADVERTISE MY BLOG,’ — FUCK OFF BECAUSE I WON’T APPROVE YOUR COMMENT.

    Dear Dotty,
This is the best idea of the day. Of course, it’s only 7:30am where I am.
I don’t think anyone can just pass by your blog… When you fall on this page, you stay.

  6. Dear Dotty,

I must confess that this isn’t my original thought — it came from Neeks, at The Short and The Long of It. Neeks is also a LimebirdUK writer. Thanks, Neeks!

My blog is http://diabeticredemption.com . I don’t write as much about diabetes as I planned originally; it is simply a part of every breath I breathe. Redemption, on the other hand — I am redeeming a half-century of a life of fear and anger. It’s working. It’s not as serious or heavy as this description implies. I have a Friends page, where I welcome followers to leave this kind of information, and URLs. And, as with Dotty, if you are just trying to put in a plug for your obscene, mean, unclean, or demeaning blog and you aren’t a follower, you won’t get in, you will get filed in spam, and then deleted forever! I have spoken.

Other than that — Come over when you get a chance — a follower of Dotty’s is a…..I mean….a follower of Dotty’s is mental, and therefore welcome! 8-)

      Dear Judith,

My son is at risk of living with diabetes type I (his mother is juvenile diabetic). He’s been part of a study since his birth, and his AC1 results are pointing that way, at least that is what the docs are saying.

I’ll go and check out your blog.

Also, please export some Cumberland sausages to the US. We Yanks don’t know what we’re missing. Most of the sausages here are “Italian” or “Polish” or “permanently attached”. My Scottish (American) husband does not approve of my eating any of those types of sausages, but I will not eat nasty, nasty haggis. This leaves us with a shortage of foods that are created by stuffing things into the internal organs of animals. Cumberland sausages are clearly the answer to our dietary needs.

  61. Dear Dotty,

I developed some skills and changed my blog address from my actual name. Please send all the downtrodden and Borderlines and cat lovers and, wait, does my blog have any other qualities? – to ocelotbound.wordpress.com

I bought an antique house, on national historic register, built in 1817 by the water in historic Salem, Massachusetts. It is witch city, but specifically they hung many women and a man and then proceeded to CRUSH another man (poor Giles) for not-really-being-witches. Many of our sidewalks were made of bricks.

More importantly, the foundation of the house was built with bricks. And the 1st folks whose offer we accepted came with their I-know-fuck-all-about-antique-properties for the formal inspection and said the foundation was unsound. I told him to get the fuck out before the unstable lot collapsed on him and his imbecile clients and they could find a much less awesome property to buy. Preferably in Antarctica. Fuckers!

OK, that’s Bricks, you’re now under formal obligation.

    With love,
    Magic
