A Song From Nowhere Boy

This song is BRILLIANT, the best version of it I’ve ever heard. It’s from Nowhere Boy, a film about John Lennon’s boyhood, and it’s sung by the actor who plays Lennon, Aaron Johnson. The video is a clip from the film. I won’t say anything about why but if you watch the film (and you should), when this song comes on you’ll be all teary (maybe not the men – but I might be wrong, the men might blub harder than the women).

  1. There was a program over the weekend about UK’s favourite numbers1’s Imagine by Lennon scraped through into the top ten, though the winner was Queens Bohemian Rhapsody which was the worthy winner.

    • Dear trh,

I wanted to watch that but I didn’t because I’d have only got frustrated at not being able to hear the songs properly.

      Love Dotty xxx

  2. This was the last movie I got on Netflix………..a year ago. I still haven’t returned it, that’s how much I liked this movie. I don’t remember what happened right before this scene but I’m sure I was teary eyed as you said.

  3. You know I can’t watch those things… but at least you did a post.

  4. I love this film! And I have to admit that I did cry a little during it xx

  5. Lovely clip. It’s hard to think about the Beatles because if they’re mortal, so are we.

Christ, it makes me sick when I think about it. He thought he was coming to the land of rock’n’roll but waiting for him were the millions and millions and millions of guns and the idiots – the absolutely, mindless, zealous fools – who think happiness is a warm gun.

Write a little note to Dotty.
